Day to day
Working alongside people who share your passion and professionalism, your shining service and attention to detail will bring our brand to life – from take-off to landing. You’ll take a cool, calm and collected approach, and go out of your way to ensure a smooth, safe and enjoyable journey for all. What’s more, your resilience to deal with the demands of a long-haul lifestyle and instinctive feel for Virgin Atlantic service will make every flight something to write home about.
You will be required to complete a five to six week intensive training course which will involve you finishing approx. 30 hours of e-learning, before you start. This will give you all of the skills and knowledge that you will need to successfully complete your role as Cabin Crew.
After graduating from your wings ceremony, you will be ready to take your smile sky high, putting all your fantastic training into practice.
About you
All of our cabin crew are responsible for the safety of our customers and your colleagues. With this in mind, we are looking for candidates with the below requirements in order to meet the needs of this role.
You need to be a minimum of 18 years of age
Have an arm reach of 210cm. (This will be checked at interview stage)
Be able to brace with your feet flat on the floor whilst sitting in our jump seat which is 45cm off the floor. (This will be checked at interview stage without shoes)
Have no live criminal convictions or cases pending, including drink driving convictions
You must have a minimum of three GCSE or equivalent level passes
Be fluent in both written and spoken English
Have the right to live and work in the UK
A confident swimmer. You will need to demonstrate that you can swim 25 metres unaided and tread water whilst putting on and manually inflating a life jacket. This will be tested during training
Committed to undertaking a rigorous five to six-week training programme.
Minimum of one year continuous face to face customer service experience

Additional Information
You will need to be prepared to be fully dedicated to the role of Cabin Crew as you will be required to be away from home on weekends, bank holidays, and over festive/holiday periods etc. The demands of the role may often interrupt your social life.
